Polar Signals
Always-on continuous profiling for CPU, GPU, and memory
Visit Polar SignalsAbout the project
Polar Signals is the company behind always-on, zero-instrumentation continuous profiling for CPU, GPU, and memory, helping engineering teams at companies like Vercel, Notion, and Canonical improve performance, understand incidents, and cut infrastructure costs. Founded by Frederic Branczyk, the creator of the open-source Parca profiler, Polar Signals brings deep observability expertise to one of the hardest problems in production engineering: seeing exactly how code behaves down to the line level.
Our story with Frederic goes back years — we designed and built the website for Parca, the open-source project at the heart of Polar Signals. So when the team needed to evolve the Polar Signals brand, we were a natural fit: we already spoke the language of profiling, and we understood what the brand had earned with its developer audience.
That history shaped the brief. Polar Signals didn't need a reinvention — it needed a sharper, more mature expression of an identity developers already recognized. We kept the logo untouched and rebuilt the visual system around it: a refreshed brand style, a redesigned website, and a layer of purposeful animations that make an inherently invisible product — profiling data flowing from production systems — tangible and easy to grasp. Every design decision was weighed against a single question: does this strengthen recognition, or dilute it?
The collaboration continues to this day on a retainer basis, with new pages and visuals shipping as the product evolves — most recently as Polar Signals expands into GPU profiling and execution context for AI coding agents. From Parca to Polar Signals Cloud, we're proud to be the long-term creative partner for a team redefining what production visibility means.
